The stranger in the mirror wears my clothes,
although they’re tighter on her.
My diamond hangs round her neck.
She has different eyes:
Soft grey; a touch of storm.
Clear and deep;
Their murky film washed away.
She told me her name once,
and I laughed.
It didn’t fit anymore.
The sadness tapers off,
and the stranger
is stranger still.

Espero
You change the air to hope;
My blood to molten sunlight;
My skin to fragile silk,
that almost can’t contain
my swollen heart.
Reto
This world of us I created
is on life support;
Doomed as it can be.
And I fear
that if I stop moving,
I’d run to you.
And I fear
That I’d not save us,
but smother us.
Desapercibido
I tried to walk you off tonight.
One foot in front of the other for ten miles;
And with salted skin
and a broken spirit
I found myself on your street.
Caído
I dipped my fingers
in the back hole of you and
somehow I fell in.
